Beibei's Wish!

You can't help but love Mia France. Mia is one of those children who has such a beautiful combination of light-up-the-room charisma, sharp intellect and quiet poise that she casts a spell on you. It was hardly surprising therefore that the Xining Children's Home staff were practically falling over one another to talk to Mia, who was originally known as BeiBei , when she returned to the Center for the first time since being adopted five years ago.

Ten year old Mia originally lived with us in the Xining Children's Home from 1999 to 2004. Although she now lives in Minnesota the Home holds such a special place in her heart that she returned with her new parents and some of her brothers and sisters sponsored by Make a Wish Foundation and a private donor in August. The trip enabled her to take in the sights in Hong Kong and the Great Wall in Beijing, as well as meet up with the people who loved her from the time she first came to us as a tiny infant, desperately in need of care and medical treatment.

When Christian Action started serving in the Children Home in the early 1990 our aim was to save children, help them to thrive and find them a future filled with love. It is such an encouragement therefore to hear from you Mia, Sue and John -thank you for visiting and spreading your words of encouragement. You are in our prayers and thoughts!
