Sorrow and Celebration

I hope you and your loved ones have had a meaningful Easter weekend as we once again focused on the awesome price God paid on Good Friday to reconcile us to Himself.  I was glad to have this time together with my husband, Marlon, and our son, Danial, worshiping at our church in Sai Kung, Hong Kong, during this most important event on our calendar.

One of the good things happening at Resurrection Church is that we joined with 28 other churches in Hong Kong to give 2000 poor villages the opportunity to also hear about God’s love for them.  We've all been participating in the 'Faith Comes by Hearing' project which means that the members of our churches committed to listen to the audio New Testament every day for the 40 days of Lent. When we listen to the scriptures we hear important truths that we often don’t notice when we speed-read the Bible, so I’ve really enjoyed this project.

Our churches also donated so that audio New Testaments can be given to others who will be uplifted when they hear about the sacrifice of Jesus for our sakes.

Giving for the good of others is so central to the Easter message, and it’s good to have made at least a small sacrifice at this special time of remembrance.

A time of reflection is always refreshing and I'm ready to get back to the office and continue working for the good of the children on the Tibetan Plateau.  I know this is God's will for my life, and I'm glad He has also laid it on your heart to think of the children who need our help.

Thank you for being willing to get involved in this vital work!
