A Passionate Plea from Caleb

Just over a year ago, ten year-old Caleb Muyang from Xining Children's Home went to live with his forever family in the USA. His mother, Angie, has sent me the latest news about Caleb, together with a short video...

Angie wrote:

When I was preparing to make the video Caleb told me he wants his Christian Action friends to tell his Xining Mama (his foster mother) about Jesus. I am sure that I have told you all how burdened he is for his foster family, especially his Xining Mama to know about Jesus... I have never seen a little guy so passionate for someone to know the Lord. He prays for her every night. He believes that if she is saved, then his Baba and sister and all of Xining will follow-who knows??!! Anyway, he was VERY nervous because (a) he is convinced Siew Mei knows everybody in the world and so the entire world will see his video, and (b) he is so emotional about sharing Jesus with his Xining Mama.

He got his yellow belt in karate! :) And he has a wicked back kick! He sings in the children's choir at church, is a phenomenal at memorizing Scripture, and learning anything, really! He got a telescope for his birthday because he LOVES all things space so I anticipate we will ALL be learning a lot about space now that it is warm enough to go outside at night. He loved the snow this winter...loves the pool and makes me a little nervous at his bravery to "swim" on his own! :) He and Samuel both have just been a perfect fit with the other boys-could not have planned it any better.

I just need to say AGAIN how much we appreciate all that Christian Action has done for our son. He most definitely would not be the confident, funny, brave smart little man he is without the loving care of you all and his foster family.  We laugh all the time because of things he tells me that his Xining Mama told him or did with him because, really, it seems like she and I may be cut from the same cloth! :)

I do not "know" his foster family in Qinghai in the usual sense of the word, but we could not love them more for all that they poured into Caleb Muyang while he was with them.  He was well loved by many people. I know that sometimes charitable organizations cannot always see the immediate fruit of their actions, and with Muyang, you did get the benefit of seeing him bloom over several years, but I can tell you that your love has truly reached not only around the world, but into eternity and I just SO look forward to the day when we will all be able to sit around in heaven and tell stories and see how this amazing work all came together for His glory!!!! Can you imagine it? It is clear the Lord has great things in mind for Caleb Muyang, and we are humbled and blessed beyond belief to be a part of that story, along with all of you. I encourage you with all that is in me to persevere wherever the Lord leads. He has done great things...
