Noelle sends good news!
Noelle was one of our first children to be adopted from Qinghai. Every year, on September 6th, I post her birthday card to the United States. This year I was so pleased to get an email reply from Noelle! It's been almost 10 years since I've seen sweet Noelle, but I had a wonderful visit with her and her family in Boston in 2006. I can hardly believe that the little girl who sat in my lap in Boston is now 18 years old!
Our friendship has grown since that first email, and I’m so pleased to hear about her progress. Noelle enjoys her life in America so much and is very grateful for the many blessings she has received. She lives on a farm and volunteers regularly with the local dog rescue. She is home-schooled by her mom and is finishing her final year of high school. She plans to go to college and wants to enter into a field where she is able to help other people. Noelle has such a caring nature! It’s the cry of my heart for every child adopted out of Xining Children’s Home to come to know Jesus, and I was elated to hear that she has also been attending church and learning more about her faith.
I'm so touched that in all her emails Noelle has never failed to express her care and concern for the children at the orphanages in Qinghai. She regularly shares how often she thinks of them and she sends words of encouragement for the children to continue their studies. Most recently, Noelle voiced her desire to help out at the orphanage or support Christian Action in any way possible. After all these years, our children’s home is still so close to her heart!
It moves me to tears every time I see the transformed lives of children who were given hope and now want to give back to others. The love of Jesus has been poured into these lives and it is now overflowing!
Please continue to pray for Noelle and others like her! Your support in prayer and in generous giving has been a great encouragement. God Bless you all!
