Carnival Time!
We hosted our very first Chinese New Year Carnival and Open Day this year to celebrate the Year of the Rooster!
I was ecstatic to see over 1,100 visitors arriving at our New Horizons Building.
With a total of 32 free activities at the event, our visitors indulged in an array of services managed by our social, humanitarian, and training services teams, including beading and storytelling workshops for the families, electric car rides for the kids, wall-climbing, massage, nail art, coffee and body check services. I loved to see the smiles on all their faces!
Positive feedback from the community shows that they were specifically impressed by the multi-faceted services offered at New Horizons Building.
Twenty-three guests officiated, including members from the Legislative Council, Social Welfare Department, Home Affairs Department and District Councillors from Kwun Tong, Wong Tai Sin and Kowloon City districts. African drumming kicked off the opening ceremony!
The energy generated at the event fueled all of us with even more passion and enthusiasm to serve the needy communities around us. We believe the visitors can now see the value of all that we offer from the New Horizons Building.
