Giving Out Lai See
Every year, I have the privilege of giving lai see packets to staff at our New Horizons headquarters. I also visit our Christian Action centres to meet with our hardworking teams and have fellowship with them.
This year we went to the Sheung Shui Centre, the Community Sales Outlet in Tin Shui Wai station, and the Tsuen Wan Centre. I was very encouraged by the staff in all three places. It was the perfect time to get to know each centre's needs in order to plan for the year ahead.
The first stop was our Sheung Shui Centre which serves our New Arrivals. I was warmly greeted, and we shared cake and tea. They told me how much those who have newly arrived in Hong Kong love the services we offer. That gave me so much hope for the year ahead. Before we left, I encouraged each person to continue serving with all their heart.
Then we went to the Community Sales Outlet in Tin Shui Wai station. After handing out lai see packets, our sales clerks gave me an encouraging update. Some of our programmes are made possible because of the success of these Sales Outlets. I left feeling deeply thankful, praying for another fruitful year.
Our last stop was one of our training centres at Tsuen Wan. After I gave out lai see, they gave me an update over our tea and cake. I hope I lifted the spirits of the staff as I shared how the work they do has made many of our programmes in China possible.
After yet another year of hard work and seeing God move in exciting ways, I was glad of the opportunity to be face to face with those on the frontlines who make our work possible. Please continue to pray for all of our centres as we move forward in faith, praying for another fruitful year in ministry.
