Doing God’s Good Work

I strongly believe that God created each one of us to do good work for His glory and that He has a job for everyone to do. For this reason I am elated that Christian Action has been helping individuals find gainful employment since 1993.

For example, Ms. Song is a middle aged woman whose daughter is in secondary school. Now that her daughter is older Ms. Song wanted to find full-time employment. She attended CA’s job fair in October, which our Training Services Division organised. Over 30 hiring companies and 1,000 job seekers attended the job fair.

I also spoke with Ms. Wong, an HR manager at YATA. She shared that they need 700 short-term and part-time employees. They joined our job fair last March and had a good experience, so they came back again this time.

As our economy continues to recover from COVID-19 even hard-hit industries like Food & Beverage are on the rise. Brian, an HR officer of a catering company was at the job fair to hire part-time waiters and receptionists. His company has increased salaries to attract people to work for them.

It warmed my heart to see all the people at our job fair because I knew they were looking for the good work that God calls them to do. We want to see everyone’s potential fulfilled even during this difficult time.
