Local Charity Box of Hope Blesses Our Kids!
Box of Hope is a fabulous local charity with a wonderful mission. For the last several years they have blessed each of the underprivileged children in our programmes with a box of gifts. What makes these boxes of gifts so wonderful, is that they are purchased and donated by other, more fortunate HK school children who are in turn learning about poverty and the joy of giving!
Last Christmas over 1,465 of our children across our six service centres, received a Box of Hope gift. The gifts were mainly stationery, colouring books, colour pencils, and games. Our children waited all year to receive their Christmas gift in a shoe box, and were beside themselves with excitement when the day to receive their gift box arrived!
I love the mission of Box of Hope. By working with schools and families, they educate children to experience the joy of giving to those who have few resources; to appreciate their own circumstances and to always have a thankful heart.
