The worker deserves wages

One of the sad realities of our work in Christian Action is that we are often witnesses of the exploitation of women labourers in Hong Kong's progressive and prosperous society. We are a life-line for them and without our help in fighting for their rights, the lives of these hard working women would be without hope. Let me tell you about one such case.

Sorrow and Celebration

Aid didn't stretch that far after the earthquake, so we wanted to make sure that these people are still cared for, and also to assess the quality of the donated aid items after months of hard use.

We were surprised by their reaction to our help.

What about Needy Children in HK?

My mind is often focused on hundreds of orphans and disabled children needing care on the Tibetan Plateau, so today let me tell you a little about what we’re doing for one particular group of needy children in Hong Kong.  These are children who arrive here with uneducated parents who have no home, no income, no extended family, and little or no knowledge of the languages spoken here. One such child is 14-year-old Man Yee, who came here from Mainland China with her parents.
