Touching Lives

For 30 years Christian Action has been serving the less fortunate in our community. We don't know how many lives have been changed, or how the quality of all those lives may have been changed by what we've said or done for all the people we've served, but it's always a delight to hear from some of those people.

Ms. Connie Yip, who recently received the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) Outstanding Award for Instructor at the 8th ERB "Manpower Development Scheme" Award Presentation Ceremony was one such person.

Happy New Year

As I look forward to the New Year ahead for Christian Action, I'm holding tightly to the word God spoke to me, "With Him, the best is yet to come!" While we wait for the coming glory, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we will keep pressing on serving men, women and children who desperately rely on our services.

A Very Merry Christmas

The Christmas season and year end is upon us! It's been a celebratory year for Christian Action and our family. Thirty years of service! While we're elated and grateful for this achievement and blessing, we're reminded this holiday season of the true reason for our joy: the birth of Jesus Christ.

Noelle sends good news!

Noelle was one of our first children to be adopted from Qinghai. Every year, on September 6th, I post her birthday card to the United States. This year I was so pleased to get an email reply from Noelle! It's been almost 10 years since I've seen sweet Noelle, but I had a wonderful visit with her and her family in Boston in 2006. I can hardly believe that the little girl who sat in my lap in Boston is now 18 years old!

The Biggest Challenge Yet!

It's been 18 years since Christian Action first signed a contract with the Xining Civil Affairs Bureau to co-manage the Xining Children's Home, a place for orphaned and abandoned children. Back then, I couldn't begin to imagine how my dream about saving an abandoned baby would, in reality, grow and grow... and still continues to grow to very surprising proportions!
