An Overcomer of Obstacles

Zad has faced many obstacles in his life!

Zad has never known his father. Then his mother died giving birth to his half sister. Zad's step-father sent him to live with his uncle. His uncle couldn't afford to feed, clothe or educate him. The obstacles seemed never-ending in Zad's short life.

The Door is Closing

When people walk through the kitchen door at Christian Action, they believe their hunger will be satisfied.  And that has happened six days a week: three times a day on weekdays, and once every Saturday. Without your help, that door may be closing...

The Intergenerational Poverty Cycle

A university education is the only way for children to break free of the cycle of poverty which has trapped many of their families for multiple generations.

Walk the Refugee Road

To fulfill the requirements for a Girl Scout Bronze Award which would indicate that they want to make a difference in their community, six Girl Scouts and their mothers recently visited Christian Action. The goal was to learn what it's like to be an asylum seeker in Hong Kong. Their walk through the lives of several asylum seekers and our part in their lives was a revelation to the girls.
