I've never seen anything like this before...

It was a very full and interesting week last week. For the whole week I was at a major Christian conference with delegates from over 100 nations. It gave me the opportunity to hand out about 450 of our brochures.
One stranger who took a Christian Action brochure came back and asked me if I managed the orphanage. I replied that I did. He was from Wollongong in Australia, and had apparently already visited Xining Children's Home. He said that while he was there, he saw something he had never seen before in an orphanage. He said that as he went through the rooms, he saw one of our staff workers at the end of the room massaging the limbs of a severely disabled child. He said that he had never before seen such a badly disabled child being massaged with so much care by a worker in an orphanage. He said, 'It brought tears to my eyes.'
Other people I met said they had friends who really wanted to work in orphanages, so I was able to share the needs we have for skilled workers in rehabilitation and other areas of our ministry.
Another really exciting thing was that I met a tremendously generous lady, Anne Chen, from a major Christian corporation who offered to arrange employment opportunities for our children at her company ! Furthermore there would be the possibility of getting them scholarships to study in university!
So the time spent at the conference was well worthwhile, giving us affirmation of our work; recruitment possibilities, and the opportunity for further quality education for our children.
At the end of the day all of this just serves to remind me that God really loves these children and that He will provide! At the same time he wants us to do our part.
