Xining Challenge Week!
Early last month our children at the Xining Children's Home got to enjoy the undivided love and attention of eleven students from Hong Kong’s King George V School. This month the students put a beautiful two minute video of their trip up on YouTube and it's a must-see!
In addition to the video, the Vice Principal of King George V School, Arnett Edwards, was also kind enough to write a lovely email - here is an extract:
"I would like to pass on my special thanks for allowing me to take eleven KGV students to visit Qinghai and Christian Action's two children's homes in Xining and Huangnan.
You have some amazing staff! Stanley is an outstanding leader. I am so impressed with his vision and macro understanding, though he does not forget small details. This was exemplified by arranging for a child from Huangnan to visit Xining when the doctor who saved the girl's life was in Xining. You have a great Social worker in Elfy... she is a little terrier...never stops... and her care and love for the children is very humbling. Our trip leader, Arming, was excellent and went out of her way to please us. There are so many other staff in the homes who provide so much care, love, and most importantly, smiles for the children.
I return as ever humbled... the children are extraordinary and there is never a day when I do not pass on my special thoughts to them.
I am finalizing my plans for my 50th birthday... which will be a small fundraiser for Qinghai children's homes."
Thank you for reading this blog, for praying for the children and doing what you can and thank you to the King George V community for all you are doing also!
