An Answered Prayer

Since our humble beginnings in Qinghai in 1997, we have served over 1,300 children through our rehabilitation centre and our homes. We went to Qinghai with some of our staff to take some photographs and record videos of the services we have provided to underprivileged, abandoned, and disabled children in the province for 20 years.
Whatever we had given to serve our Lord, on that trip we received!
On that trip a major prayer point was also answered! The Qinghai Provincial Government, the leaders of the Qinghai CPPCC, the Public Security Department, the Civil Affairs Department, and heads of other departments, gave us what we have always longed for - we were given foreign NGO status in China! Our new status was announced the next day on the Public Security Department website.
Our new challenge is to introduce a community centre to every village. That plan is already underway. The centres will serve over 28,000 children. We are also in the process of working with the government to build, equip, and co-manage a Paediatric Physical and Occupational Therapy Training Centre. Our existing homes and programmes will only continue to grow, reaching more children with love and hope each year.
Gratefully, I thanked all who have placed their trust in us over many years, and for making our dream a reality. Christian Action is now the very first registered foreign NGO in Qinghai. There are 242 in all of China at that point. We are incredibly blessed to maintain our full name: Christian Action (China Hong Kong).
CA will be even more enabled to fulfil the 10-year partnership agreement with the Qinghai government. Pray we will have the financial support as we care for 36,000 at-risk children and provide training to 5,000 child welfare workers in Qinghai Province.
I cannot thank you enough for your prayers and support along the way. May this new achievement mark a season of even greater fruitfulness of our ministry in Qinghai.
