The greatest love of all

This year’s celebration of Mother’s Day will be very different because most of us must still practice social distancing and wear masks in public. Although the control of the pandemic remains stable in Hong Kong, gathering in crowds is not advisable.

So we will need to find a different way to celebrate Mother’s Day, instead of the usual dinner or movie with Mum.

It is unusual, but for me Mother’s Day is a time to appreciate my son Danial. He has inherited his parents’ passion to serve, and he regularly expresses that as he helps others.

In my earlier blog post I wrote about sourcing surgical masks in Malaysia, and the process looked easy because it was Danial who had played an important role to make it possible. I appreciate his help to explore more sources of supply. He arrived on-site to do quality-checks, and he handled the shipping procedure with us to ensure that the shipping deadline would be met. He also made trips to the warehouse to oversee the boxes being loaded onto the cargo truck. I am so blest to have such a great kid!

To appreciate your mom this Mother’s Day, why not send her a beautiful bouquet or a creative arrangement of flowers from The Olive Leaf*. It is our social enterprise’s floral shop for made-to-order arrangements for this special day. Your purchase will also bless many people who are in need.

I pray all mothers will be appreciated by their families. Proverb 31:28 says: `Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her.’

May all the Moms in the world enjoy their special day!
