Qinghai Earthquake News and Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year is a time to feast and to visit family members. It is a time to celebrate the blessings of the past and welcome the blessings and prosperity of the year to come.
Chinese New Year 2022 will be remembered for many years to come in Qinghai, China. On January 8th the Province’s Northern region was struck by an earthquake. Miraculously none of the children or staff in our Xining, Huangnan, Hainan and Haixi Children’s Homes were hurt! Praise God!
On a personal note, 2022 year will be the second time that I will not be feasting with and visiting my family members in person in Malaysia. Has COVID forced your family, like mine, to develop new customs for Chinese New Year?
As we celebrate this year let us all be thankful that the children and staff in the Qinghai Children’s Homes are safe!
Let us greet our loved ones with words of kindness, show care and concern for the elderly and to shower children with red packets - for in blessing, you will be richly blessed. We took action and raised enough money and sponsorship to bring good cheer to over 1,300 poor families in Hong Kong with a Blessings Bag full of Chinese New year goodies! Will share with you in my blog later!
I pray that you will all be blessed by the Lord in 2022, “For behold He is doing a new thing” (Isa 43:19a)
