What a Wonderful World
Have you ever given a gift simply out of tradition or habit? Or received one with the same lack of ‘connecting’ to the person who gave it?
Last month we held a Christmas party for our After-School Child Care Service programme children and some of the elderly folk from the surrounding community. It was wonderful!
There were no lavish Christmas decorations but the spirit of Christmas was in the air! The elderly were enthralled by Vicky Chow’s Cantonese opera singing and the children all joined Purple Lee in singing classic children’s songs.
The party came about because of the sacrificial hard work of volunteers like Event Coordinator Lisa Chang, CA supporter Chariene Lee, staff and many others. Our gift sponsor Mr. Yau from Crowe (HK) CPA Limited also kindly donated 100 gifts. The party was made up of people from all walks of life and all ages but the love that bound us together was felt by all. What a gift!
Lastly, for awesome Chinese New Year gifts please check out our online catalog or visit one of our charity booths in Wan Chai, Ngau Tau Kok or Kowloon Bay. Thank you and God bless you.
