Living a ‘God-like’ Life
As we approach the Advent season, which runs from the fourth Sunday before Christmas to Christmas Day, Christians around the world prepare their hearts to celebrate Jesus’ arrival. This is done by focusing on God’s kindness, mercifulness, and compassion, as can be seen in Jesus’ life.
The greatest gift of all is God’s gift of salvation, and the more we focus on this during Advent, the more we should want to serve those who are truly in need.
This Advent I would like to invite you to support the financially or psychological challenged. I am especially thinking of the Carers who serve the sick and aged in their own homes. Oftentimes this is a thankless duty that can physically and emotionally overwhelm Carer to the point of burnout.
The following excerpt is from a newspaper story that touched me deeply -
“Amy is a loving housewife who cares for her three daughters. Her youngest child has autism and requires much of Amy’s time. This has negatively impacted her other two girls. The lopsided dynamic has also impacted Amy, who feels powerless, trapped and has lost motivation in life.”
Let us reach out to these unsung heroes who need our appreciation and recognition. You can support underprivileged families, children and stressed Carers by purchasing a box (or several boxes!) of charity cookies from Christian Action, the proceeds of which will go to their support.
In this year’s Season of Love, we have teamed-up with Meowery Wonderland by Alice B, and we’re offering a limited-edition “Oatmeal and Raisin Charity Cookie Gift Box”. The irresistible early bird charity sale price of HK$118 (original price HK$138) per box, is yours for the taking up to 4th December 2023!

God blesses you so that you can bless others – Acts 20:35, for “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
