Exploring the Big, Wide World
When little children come to us, with the help of willing volunteers we are able to take them on occasional outings. Just as for Emma Si Tian Baker, these outings are a highlight in the children's lives, but they are nothing like the family trips Emma now gets to take with her forever family. As you can see, since she was adopted by Nichole and Daniel, Emma has lived the life of an explorer! Here's the latest news from Nicole.
Another year has passed and we feel blessed that our home overflows with love, laughter and joy. Emma is so, so loved by her family and so many others. She is a loving and caring girl that has an infectious laugh and she truly enjoys life and all of the experiences that brings along the way.
This past year has been busy and filled with so many new things for all of us! Emma learned how to ski jump, she medaled in the 5 and 10 meter jumps. She had many fun hours on Mount Itasca throughout winter. She also learned how to cross country ski, which was fun but not quite as exciting as ski jumping!
Emma spent lots of time with family and friends this last summer. The days were filled with swimming, boating and fishing. Emma enjoys fishing with her dad and catching pan fish off the dock. We spent many an afternoon on the boat looking for turtles and counting how many there were sunning on the logs. Emma had the opportunity to watch two baby loons, “Robbie & Rosie”, grow up on the lake as well. We always kept our eyes open for “Eddie” the eagle too. It’s been a joy and a pleasure to explore the great outdoors with Emma.
This winter Emma started figure skating and she loves it! She is learning so many new skating techniques at her lessons. It has been fun watching her talents grow over the weeks.
Emma attends St. Joseph’s Catholic School and is now in first grade. She loves attending school and learning so many new things each day. Emma loves to read and enjoys doing the homework that she has each day. She has a wonderful teacher and has made lovely friendships as well.
This past year was filled with traveling near and far. Emma loved her trip to San Francisco and she looks forward to returning soon. She had fun exploring the city and trying lots of new foods. She is an adventurous soul.
It has been a wonderful year and we look forward to another exciting year together. Peace and love to all of you this year!
Thank you for supporting Christian Action as we prepare our children for adoption into a much wider world with their forever families!
