A Beautiful Christmas Exchange
As I looked at the handmade gift items offered in our Season of Love Charity Drive this Christmas, I couldn't help but notice that the pastel art prints by Lamlum really stood out. They truly uplifted my spirit. Each print carries a simple message with an image that portrays the love of Jesus. He is our comforter in times of trouble. He reminds us that we once were lost but are now found. Jesus took our sins on himself and gave his life so that we could be forgiven and have peace with God. Our Christmas gift-giving is a reminder that because of his sacrifice we now have the gift of eternal life.
At this time of the year we look forward to receiving really nice gifts - but let's remember that we have already received the greatest gift of all.
I am reminded that we shared the love of Jesus with each of the adopted children who left Xining Children's Home and are now happily settled with their forever families. God knows each of them intimately, as he declares in Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before I set you apart; I appointed you as prophet to the nations." My prayer is that each of my dear children will be ambassadors for Christ and will carry His light and love to the world around them.
Please join me in praising God for His love in sending Jesus to be the light of the world and the sacrifice for our sins.
I wish you all a blessed Christmas,
Siew Mei
