Walking along a street the other day I spied something I hadn’t seen before - that almost every low-income family that was eating out was ordering “two-dish rice”. Traditionally they would never be ordering that at Chinese New Year, but this year is different. The post COVID-19 world of Hong Kong’s most vulnerable is a much harsher place than it used to be, and I want to help.

Our Chinese New Year Blessings Bag campaign and bag distribution is still going on. I know it won’t change the world for everyone. But at the same time our experience shows that it does mean the world to every low-income family and elderly person who does receive a bag!

Each bag is stuffed full of our ‘Season of Love’ handcrafted charity cookies, soup pack and other festive food, like dried mushrooms and Chinese sausages in different combos.
