Newsflash! We Won More Awards!
We have just been recognized by Hong Kong’s Education Department as the top training institute in all of Hong Kong for helping job-seekers re-enter the workforce!
This commendation is especially satisfying because the bar is so high. The Education Department has a stringent Qualifications Framework (QF) with seven different levels of academic, professional, and continuing education credentials. In our case this meant that every level of each of our classes in each of our service areas, was put through a demanding quality control screening and we came through with flying colors!
Furthermore, we were also recognized for providing multi-learning pathways to the public and inviting other organizations to join Christian Action to provide improved and additional training courses!
The real heroes here are our Training Services Division (TSD) team members. The Acting Secretary for Education, Mr. Sze Chun-fai, Jeff, JP recognized our accomplishments on May 10th during the Qualifications Framework (QF) Partnership Commendation Ceremony, along with 76 enterprises and 63 education and training organizations.
I am also pleased to see that CA’s ERB service was recognized as a QF Star Training Provider for its ability to promote and support lifelong learning, while also boosting the competence and competitiveness of the workforce in Hong Kong. Congratulations to everyone at TSD for their hard work! You have achieved great success in many aspects, including programme development, management, quality assurance and instructor evaluation. Thank you!
Lastly, the reason we do this is to bring a lasting and positive change in people’s lives. May Lai, for example, is a young housewife who approached us for help last year. She desperately needed a new direction in her life and took our Foundation Certificate course to be a Barista. After graduation, May was hired as a Barista, a job that she has grown to love:
"The job is exciting and rewarding. I am thankful that Christian Action taught me to be a skilled Barista, surrounded me with supportive and encouraging peers, and most importantly, gave me a passion for all things coffee! In fact, I love coffee so much that I hope to open my own coffee shop in my hometown in China in a few years!”
